Restaurant Review- Neisha Thai

We recently decended upon Tenleytown to partake in the local fare. We had choosen Neisha b/c I had been there once before and enjoyed it immensly. Upon entering you are strucken with the odd sense of being in Bedrock. There are cheap decorations, I suppose to look like you are dining on a mountain in Thailand, but it really just looks like the Flintstones will be your dining partners that evening. We were seated quickly in semi-comfortable chairs and given the extensive menu. Not much of a beer selection, but a full bar and lots of yummy cocktails. I got a Mango something or other and it was delicious. Like a mango smoothie with liquer. Corey got a Sex on the Dock, or something like that (not beach, but something else) and it was yummy, just not as yummy. We chose an appetizer that we couldn't pronouce, but it was a pork dumpling of sorts with a great garlic soy sauce. They were just ok, Corey was pleased b/c they tasted very different than appetizers you may get at other places. Corey then ordered a Sweet and Sour fish, and I the salmon in banana leaves.
The entrees were delivered and they were huge! Note to the wise, order one entree and split it! The sweet and sour fish was two whole filet of mystery fish breaded and topped with a sweet and sour sauce and smothered in pinapple. I didn't think it would be that good from the looks of it, but it was full of spices and flavor. My dish was fantastic. The salmon was topped with wierd herbs then covered in banana leaves to be cooked. The plate was shared with grilled tomatoes, asperagus, squash, and eggplant. It was served with a chili-lime sauce that you could spoon on yourself. Very delicious! The prices were good. For all that, plus a 2 meals to take home since the portions were so big, was 60$. But you could easily choose some of the less expensive dishes, like rice and noodle dishes, for only 8$!! Of course, Corey and I chose expensive dishes...
Anyway
would I eat there again? Definitly
overall rating? 4 out of 5 nices.
